After the dumplings are baked, they are ready to be served. To make a deep-fried taotao,Pre-heat the wok until it reaches 350 degrees F. In a large pan, combine the olive oil and ginger. Add in the brown rice and stir until the casserole is half absorbed. Add in the tamarind, water, and tamarind puree, and stir until the casserole is half absorbed. Add in the onions, carrots, and celery and stir until the casserole is half absorbed. Add in the seasonings and stir until the casserole is half absorbed. Insert the lid and cook for 15 minutes.

    How to season taotao

Once the casserole is half-completed, it’s time to add the seasonings to the casserole. In a medium bowl, mix together the tamarind, water, and tamarind puree, the brown rice, seasonings, and stir until well blended. In a small bowl, mix together the sesame, sesame seeds, and sesame oil. Add the sesame seeds to the casserole and stir until the seeds are well distributed throughout the batter. Batter should be at least double the volume of the casserole.

Tips for making a fine dumpling

    – When making a fine dumpling, make sure to use a light (1/4 to 1/2 cup) measure of water. This makes the batter light and fluffy, which will make the dumpling crispy. – When making a square dumpling, make sure to use a heavy (1/4 to 1/2 cup) measure of water. This makes the batter dense and rich, which will give the finished dumpling a ciabatta-like texture. – Make sure to use a good amount of yeast in your dumpling recipe. The less active the yeast, the more fully-flavored the dumpling. – Don’t be afraid to mix in some salt as you stir in the ingredients in this step. A little salt goes a long way in keeping your batter squeaky clean.
